We all know that we are supposed to exercise, but knowing you are supposed to do something doesn’t make you do. Another thing, telling people what bad things can happen will not scare them into not doing something or doing something, thus the reason we still have smokers. But healthcare website, health bloggers, and doctors all agree that the best way to lose weight is to exercise.
But how can one exercise when they don’t like to do it? I have come to the conclusion that I don’t like to exercise, and when I get started for a few weeks, I never finish. It’s not the type of exercise either, I just don’t find any form of it enjoyable.
But that still doesn’t answer what to do when you don’t like it? Well, do what people do when they hate something, do it anyway. But when you do something you dread, a lot of times we do it halfway just to get it done and that brings us not benefit.
Here’s the answer to the question. although it isn’t grand. You change your mindset. A lot of times, your mindset will cause you to not think of the positives that could come out of doing something we hate.
I am a hundred percent guilty of this and avoid exercise because I do not want to do it. My other excuses are not wanting to shower again, and being too tired. And my last excuse it about now wanting to be hungry because that always happens after a workout.
If I had it my way I would eat what I want and gain no weight, but life doesn’t work that way, but if it did oh the fun I would have. I sometimes envy my younger brother and cousin because they have high metabolisms and just eat what they feel like. But they complain about different things because being stick skinny isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.
My cousin used to ask me when did I get thick, but I have never been extremely skinny. I do remember when I was a teenager, gym literally was my exercise along with soccer, but I am not being graded for performance anymore.
I think that if I saw the results of exercising immediately I would keep going, but with everything in life, some things take time. But the real question is are you, I, willing to work for it. A lot of times, the answer is no, but I want this time to be different. I don’t want to give up.
So this will be different. I will make to get the best results. I will get in shape.
