A Day in the Life,  Dealing With Stress

How to Destress While Playing Video Games

I have already talked about how videos games can help relieve stress. So why am I mentioning it again? Well because it’s true. When I’m stressed I grab my phone and play my favorite games for an hour or so. It’s relaxing because I focus on my game and forget everyone and everything else. That is possible. Sometimes we need to clear our mind and what better way than to put your focus on something else.

Most of the time I play on my mobile apps. I’ll play Linda Brown: Interactive Story, Homescapes, The Simpsons Tapped Out, Kingdom Hearts Union X, and Solitaire Tri Peaks. It’s a lot of games to go through, but they all keep me at peace and they are easy to get to. I don’t always want to turn on a game console, but when I do, I turn on my PS4 (PlayStation 4.)

I have always been a fan of the PlayStation ever since I was a kid, but it was also one of the few consoles I remember playing. It was always the easiest to navigate and now with the new features, I love it even more. The PlayStation to me is like the iPhone. Easy to use and very pretty, I love the design. But to be honest I don’t play a lot of games on the PlayStation, I just play a few or better yet one series. To be honest this series is the reasons I decided to get a PS4. The game can be played on no other console.

The series I play is called Kingdom Hearts. I mainly Kingdom Hearts II and most recently Kingdom Hearts III. I know the game and have played the series for years so I feel comfortable turning it on and playing for hours. I have seen the opening and ending so many times, but it doesn’t get old.

I mean how can you get tired of an epic theme song? And how could you get tired of seeing your favorite Disney characters fight evil. That can’t get old. Actually that’s pretty exciting.

While I played the newest game of the series, Kingdom Hearts III, I played without thinking about anything else. My goal was to finish the game and try to figure out the story (look it up, the story is complicated, but it is easy to fall in love with.) Mos importantly the game consists of my favorite things, Disney, good animation, great story, and awesome music. So, of course, I finished the game in a week. During that week I decided to make the game therapy and it was very successful.

I wouldn’t recommend it if I didn’t think it was true. But I stand my Kingdom Hearts being a stress reliever. I mean everything about that game is so calming. I can’t say that about every game I play. I suggest everyone play it. I can also admit it is the fastest I ever beat a video game. Out of all the games I’ve ever played, I can play it all day. That says a lot about the series. Play the game! Relieve stress and be on cloud nine.

I am a personal blogger! I love to write and I love cookies and cake. And cheesecake. I love talking about my experiences in life. I like to write fiction and invent different worlds in my head. I enjoy watching movies, but I'm not a horror fan. I like watching Disney movies and hope to one day create a Disney Princess.
